About Me
I first experienced Walt Disney World in July 2005, my wife and I were on our honeymoon in Florida and hadn't planned to visit it as I assumed it was just for kids. Anyway we had a spare day towards the end of our holiday and after a lengthy, boring timeshare pitch first thing in the morning, we were given 2 tickets to Magic Kingdom and we headed straight there. It was extremely busy, people were everywhere and the queues were long, it was like nothing I had experienced before!
It took us 5 years to get back to Florida, but this time we had a little girl who was 2 and I put a little more research into the accommodation and Walt Disney World which made for a great trip. Two years later in 2012 we went again, this time with my parents and now we had 2 little girls. The four of us went again in 2014 and it has since become our big annual family holiday and in 2018 I had to plan, research and book for 10 people, we had a great time in a big villa! In 2019 we booked to go again, we had a villa at the Indian Creek Community, which was another great location. For 2020 we were all booked for mid-August, but that got cancelled and we got cancelled again in 2021! We booked 2022 for 8 of us in a big villa, we finally made it and had a great time. Now let's roll-on to August 2023 when it is just the 4 of us.
On some of these holidays to Florida, we have visited some of the other theme parks and water parks, but the most visited and definitely the most enjoyed days of the holiday are when we are in Walt Disney World. Do I still believe Walt Disney World is for kids? Not necessarily, but I am just a big kid who doesn't want to grow up!
